Garden-grabbers hem in Wokingham couple

A couple from Berkshire have said their home has become “hemmed-in” by their neighbours building in their back gardens.

Marjorie and Ian McDonald said their home in Wokingham had become surrounded by works since January.

Recent changes to planning laws to help prevent “garden grabbing” were too late for the couple.

The developer said it had taken steps to ensure the building works were not intrusive.
